Simplified User's Guide for ZNYX Adapters
These instructions assume the reader is familiar with the basic operating procedures of Windows NT 4.0, and the basic concepts of local area network. Before proceeding, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 software must be is installed and operating.
Tip: You should consider installing the most recent service pack for Windows NT. Contact Microsoft for more information.

1. Start your computer system and log on with administrator level access. Open the 'Control Panel'.

2. Open the network properties applet by double clicking on the 'Network' icon. The following property page will be displayed.

3. Click the 'Adapters' tab to display the following property sheet:
4. Click the 'Add…' button to display the following dialog box:

5. Click the 'Have Disk…' button to display the following dialog box:

6. Insert the software driver disk (either CD-ROM or diskette) and change the edit field to the appropriate setting; for example, A: for a diskette in drive D. Click the 'OK' button and the following dialog box will appear:

7. If more than one selection appears in the list box, select the ZNYX Adapter entry and click the 'OK' button. The system will copy the driver and other files to the system directory on the hard disk. The following dialog box will be displayed:

8. If there is more than one device in the system that has a PCI-PCI bridge (such as the system board itself or another RAIN adapter) it may be necessary to enter a different PCI Bus Number. See Troubleshooting for more info.
The TX Mode and RX Mode fields indicate the PCI bus transfer modes used for network transmit and network receive, respective. Make the appropriate settings and click the 'OK' button, and the Adapter property sheet will be displayed, updated as follows:

9. It will now be necessary to configure any protocols and/or services as required by the network in use. Consult the Windows NT system documentation for details. Once these configurations have been done, click the 'Close' button and the following dialog box will appear:

10. Click the 'Yes' button and the system will shut down and restart. Once Windows NT system is operating again, the network will be accessible via the ZNYX adapter.
