Classic ZX340 Series - Discontinued
|
|
The ZX340 Series of multiport PCI adapters was discontinued
in 1998. It was replaced by the ZX340Q Series adapters (note the 'Q' suffix,
identifying the current products). The discontinued ZX340 Series adapters are
no longer available.
The old ZX340 series employed the Intel/DEC 21140 MAC
chip, which was discontinued by Intel. The new ZX340Q series uses Intel's
21143 MAC chips which offer improved performance and built-in 10/100 Mbps
speed autonegotiation.
